Folding screen is called Byoubu in Japanese. Its name comes from shutting wind.

It was necessary furniture for life as partitioning of a space since the Nara era (710~794). Nowadays, it is developing a new folding screen for fitting modern life.

"Flying cranes" made by real gold foils in the Echizen Japanese paper of dark blue color. Flock of cranes means super happy situation because crane is symbol of fortune and happy long life. In Japan, pattern of crane has been used design of kimono as a lucky sign for a long time.

You can decorate it standing up and hanging on a wall using separately sold hanger.
