The "wisdom and designs" from women in farmhouses formulated Koginzashi.
"Koginzashi" is uniquely developed Japanese traditional embroidery /stitching in Tsugaru region, Aomori, which is believed that was started by stitching coarse hemp cloths as a protection against cold.
The subtle texture created from a careful hand making has been popular lately, as a fashionable and cute feature.
You can see a Hibamasu pincushion in the picture; an item created by Koginzashi and Aomori hiba (arborvitae) craftsmen collaborated together.
Aomori hiba has excellent effects of insect repellence / antibacterial action / deodorization, also you can relax with the scent.
